Neighbourhood Watch Message:  Let's help to stop Fly Tipping

Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, residents are using their time at home, where able, to complete DIY and other works around the home.
Can we remind residents that any waste from these works, need to be stored at their home, until such time that the household waste sites reopen.
There should be no one out collecting scrap, or other forms of waste at this time.
If you are approached, do not give them your waste, or metal, or part with any payments.
Householders have a duty of care in making sure that anyone collecting their waste has a licence starting CBDU, for doing so and they receive a transfer note from the company when the working restrictions are eventually lifted.

It has been reported that an elderly resident in Marshalswick had someone knock on their door, offering to update them on the latest Coronavirus situation.  The resident had the impression that the visitor wanted to enter their house to discuss.  The resident was suspicious, asked them to leave and promptly closed the door. Please be aware.
